Adult Hearing Care Overview

Minor Ops have been providing a high quality professional community-based adult hearing care service since 2009.

Based in the North East, we are commissioned to provide an NHS AQP Adult Hearing Aid Service by NHS County Durham and Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Patients are treated, close to their homes, by our friendly qualified audiologists in specialist clinics in local GP practices and Primary Care Centres throughout the North East of England. 

Patients will be provided with hearing tests, hearing aids, fittings and a three year aftercare service.

The service is available to patients aged 50 years and over suffering with an age related hearing loss. Please see our ‘referrals’ section for more details. 

 

 

Commissioning Information

We strive to keep waiting times from referral to treatment to 16 working days or less.

Depending upon the level of hearing loss, the patient will be fitted either at their first appointment or within a maximum of 20 working days.
