For Patients

Adult Hearing Care Overview

Minor Ops work on behalf of the NHS to provide high quality care for adults aged 50 years and over suffering with hearing loss.

Hearing aid assessment and fittings are carried out by qualified friendly audiologists.

Minor Ops aim to treat patients close to their home with a minimal wait time for treatment.

We have been providing treatment to NHS patients with hearing loss in the North East since 2009. Audiology care is carried out in specialist clinics in local GP practices and Primary Care Centres throughout the North East of England.

To obtain your free NHS hearing aids you need to be aged 50 years and over and referred by your GP. Just ask your GP if you can be referred into ‘Minor Ops Hearingcare’ and they can book a convenient appointment for you.

Our service is commissioned by NHS County Durham and Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Groups for the treatment of NHS patients.
